To Whom It May Concern:

As a sportscaster in a market like Milwaukee, I am truly privileged to be able to cover “big time” events while still connecting to the personal stories that often make those events special. The name of Sue Susic Ervin figures prominently in both of those areas.

Behind every great figure skater is a great coach. Sue knew that as a competitor herself. From what I have been told about her on-ice days, Sue was always very gracious about her success at the highest levels of the sport. Later, she became that coach behind very successful skaters.

However, Sue Ervin’s story is not solely about the top of the game. She can still be found spending tireless hours working with skaters who may only be taking lessons for the sake of taking lessons. In many cases, impacting those students is as important as helping someone who performs in the spotlight.

Through it all, Sue and her husband Dennis have worked to build and maintain the foundation of skating in the state of Wisconsin. The sport would not enjoy the profile it does in this area were it not for the efforts of the Ervins.

Once again, every day is the big time with Sue Susic Ervin.
